RN Nurse
Position
Full‑time (72 hours per pay period, every 2 weeks) on a 12‑hour night shift schedule working variable days, including weekends and holidays.
Location: Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor and recognize patient vital signs, symptoms, telemetry readings and EKG for abnormal heart rhythms or changes such as Afib, heart blocks, vtach/fib.
Collaborate and establish trust with surgeons, physician assistants, cardiologists, general medical practitioners, family nurse practitioners, charge nurses, nurse assistants and other care team members to achieve optimum patient care.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:- Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
- One (1) year of recent RN experience
- California Registered Nurse License
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- One (1) year RN experience in acute Med/Surg
- Experience with EPIC EHR
The position is eligible for a New Hire Retention Incentive up to $7,000.
The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:
- Internal candidates
- Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
To remain eligible for the retention incentive, the following criteria must be met:
- Remain in original hired FTE status and shift (if specified in offer letter)
- Remain in original department/specialty
- Remain in original job title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in the offer letter
