DescriptionUnder the direct supervision of a registered nurse, the LVN performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. Responsibilities include prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, patient education, venipuncture and IV access. Requires initiative, the ability to prioritize critical demands, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Due to community clinic growth, the position will float to North County and additional clinics throughout San Diego; willingness to travel is required. This role may be hired at the LVN or Sr. LVN level depending on the selected candidate’s experience.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with a commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of hire date.
- Demonstrated recent experience in a similar role and setting.
- Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Certification in Intravenous Therapy (LVN IV) issued by the state of California.
- Phlebotomy certification.
- Primary Care experience.
- Ambulatory experience.
- Point of Care testing experience.
- Procedure experience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on‑call, and some overtime if necessary.
- Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Annual Full Pay Range: $74,980 – $93,229 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $35.91 – $44.65. Compensation determination includes experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
