This position is in a fast‑paced multi‑specialty clinic that includes Heart Failure, EP, Interventional cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pulmonary patients. The clinic nurse role includes direct patient care in clinic and ongoing care coordination for symptom management, prescription refills and other patient needs. Additional duties include telephonic triage for our cardiovascular clinics, handling urgent symptom calls, medication management, plan of care and emergent prescription refills.
The RN coordinates same‑day appointment visits to reduce emergency room utilization and hospital readmission rates. Autonomous nursing care is the ability to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance and exercise independent judgment within interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- RN License issued by the State of California.
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire and commitment to obtain ART within six (6) months of hire date.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse in ICU, Emergency Room, Telemetry unit, Stroke unit, Electrophysiology lab, and/or cardiac catheterization lab.
- Ambulatory clinic experience within the last 6 months.
- BSN.
- Minimum of three (3) years working in a cardiac unit or procedural area.
- Recent Cardiology Triage experience.
- Recent case management/care coordination experience.
- Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Annual Full Pay Range: $190,342 – $190,342 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $91.16 – $91.16. Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Life‑support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands‑on practice and in‑person skills assessment; online‑only certification is not acceptable.
