Job Description
Join our team as a CVICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in San Diego. This role is focused on supporting patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and complex medical conditions in the Critical Care Unit. Your expertise with equipment such as IABP, Swan Ganz catheters, and Epicardial Pacing Wires is essential. You will work a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a rotating schedule, floating across multiple locations including Thornton, Jacobs, and Hillcrest.
Flexibility to assist in the emergency department inpatient overflow (EDIP) when needed is appreciated. This fast‑paced role requires a minimum of two years’ experience with designated equipment, along with certifications in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH. Experience with pulmonary artery lines, ICP monitoring, and BSN credentials are preferred. Expect to support cardiac, neuro, surgical, trauma, and transplant patients, providing critical care and close monitoring.
