Registered Nurse (RN) – San Diego, CA
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within women's health and family-centered care settings. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who are passionate about supporting patients throughout childbirth, recovery, and postpartum care while working in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout the care continuum
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
- Monitor maternal and newborn well-being and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families during significant life events
- Adapt to varying patient care environments and staffing needs as assigned
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or maternal-child health nursing required
- Neonatal resuscitation certification preferred or required based on role
- Fetal monitoring experience preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical‑thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment
