Registered Nurse, CF-Mule Creek State Prison, Ione – California Correctional Health Care Services, Amador County, CA.
Job Description and DutiesLimited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Under general direction, in a State correctional facility in the Department of Corrections or the Department of the Youth Authority, this role provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients; offers clinical supervision and training of other nursing staff; collaborates with physicians and other health care providers; takes independent action within professional preparation and legal limits; maintains order and supervises the conduct of inmates or youthful offenders;
protects and maintains the safety of persons and property; and performs other related work.
- Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse in California. (Applicants who do not meet this requirement will be admitted to the examination, but they must secure the required license before they will be considered eligible for appointment.)
Travel may be required.
