Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- RN license issued by the State of California
- BLS and ACLS at time of hire with a commitment to obtain ART within six (6) months
- Moderate Sedation Certified within three months of hire
- Two (2+) years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience; alternatively, two (2+) or more years of ICU experience may be considered if the applicant pool is insufficient
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and external constituents, both verbally and in writing
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities and to develop solutions to moderately complex problems
- Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment with strong interpersonal skills, consistently demonstrating empathy and kindness to staff and patients
- Adherence to UCSD Health Medical Center (C.A.R.I.N.G.) Standards of Performance and demonstration of professionalism in attire, attitude, conversation, behavior, and attentiveness to others
- BSN/MSN degree
- Moderate Sedation Certification
- PALS certification within six (6) months
- Ability to work various hours, days, shifts, on‑call, and at various locations based on the 24‑hour Medical Center’s business needs
- Employment subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical
- Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council
Hourly Equivalent: $66.25 – $92.86 (prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 – $193,892
- As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer must disclose any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed misconduct or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer
