As a Faculty Instructor, you'll prepare students to become competent, confident Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) by providing engaging classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach theory, laboratory skills, and/or clinical instruction
• Prepare students for the California CNA certification examination
• Mentor and encourage transitional age youth and adult learners from diverse backgrounds
• Evaluate student competency and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain attendance and required documentation
• Foster a positive, professional learning environment
• Work collaboratively with the RN Program Director and instructional team
• Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requirements

• Active California RN license
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
• Passion for education and mentorship

• Active California LVN license
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
• Experience supervising CNAs preferred

Teaching experience is welcome but not required.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds, including refugee and immigrant communities, and many are the first in their families to pursue careers in healthcare.

Every Faculty Instructor at Learn More helps create new CNAs, Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Acute Care CNAs who go on to serve patients throughout California.
