The Telemetry Unit at East Campus Medical Center located on the 5th floor provides care for adult medical and surgical patients who require a higher level of monitoring, including continuous cardiac telemetry. Common admitting diagnoses include cardiac and cardiovascular conditions, respiratory, neurological, renal, and metabolic disorders, as well as post–general surgery care. The acuity and complexity of this patient population require nursing staff to possess strong clinical judgment and specialized knowledge related to disease progression and advanced monitoring.
