Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners continue to play a vital role in expanding access to psychiatric care. Many of the organizations we partner with are seeking experienced NPs interested in medication management, collaborative care, and long-term patient relationships.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient response.
- Monitor for medication efficacy, side effects, and safety concerns.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with therapists and the broader care team to coordinate patient care.
- Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification and state licensure in good standing.
- Active DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Ability to prescribe independently where required by state law.
- Strong clinical judgment and experience with psychiatric medication management.
