Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring neurology experience and a CA RN license.

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care setting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of neurology experience within the past 2 years required
• ACLS certification required
• Epilepsy experience preferred
• Skills in neurological assessment, altered level of consciousness monitoring, telephone triage, medication reconciliation, vital signs, pain assessment, and lab result interpretation
• Experience with office duties including authorization forms, chart preparation, disability forms, insurance verification, pharmacy calls, and referrals
• Two manager references required

• On-site role in a Telephone Triage Call Center setting
• Work settings include Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Triage specialties
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Epic charting system experience required
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on census and unit needs
• Responsibilities include telephone triage, patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and coordination of referrals and insurance verification
• Candidates who previously worked at this facility must be gone one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
