ScheduleFull time – We are open Sunday‑Friday 7am-6pm. Rotating Sundays required. Schedule rotates.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who has a strong interest in anesthesia and dentistry to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with advanced dental procedures; however, we are happy to train a motivated technician who is eager to grow their skills in these areas. This role is perfect for a technician who enjoys case involvement, patient safety, and developing advanced technical abilities while delivering exceptional patient and client care.
RoleResponsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork with clients and hospital staff
- Follow direction from doctors, lead technicians, and management
- Provide compassionate and safe patient handling
- Prepare patients for surgery and dental procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and recovery, ensuring patient safety
- Perform and maintain accurate treatment plans and medical records
- Assist with dental procedures, including advanced dentistry when trained
- Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization in all patient care areas
- Assist with client communication and occasional reception duties when needed
- Complete assigned training and continuing education
- Current RVT license
- 3+ years veterinary technician experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to safely restrain patients
- Anesthesia monitoring and recovery management
- Peripheral IV catheter placement and IV fluid administration
- Intravenous injections
- Basic laboratory procedures
- Diagnostic radiography assistance
- Surgical preparation and patient care
- Veterinary dentistry experience
- Dental radiographs
- Dental extractions and gingival flaps
- Advanced anesthesia monitoring
Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate of $26-32 / hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
