Seed Department Coordinator

Are you a leader who is familiar with native plants and can manage a budget? If so you’re a rare bird and this job is for you! Successful applicant will manage all aspects of our seed department including sales, marketing, seed farm and seed collection services with an eye toward growth.

Native West Nursery is a leading native plant nursery in California and growing quickly through our reputation for technical knowledge, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are adding talent to our team looking for someone to be our Seed Department Coordinator.

Successful applicant will be knowledgeable and passionate about plants native to the southwest. They will collaborate to develop and execute a business plan, lead a small team and be comfortable getting their hands dirty. They will be organized in the office and be able to manage projects, budgets and client communication.

• Valid and clean CA Driver’s License
• Work in full sun, inclement weather
• Some physical labor moving and maintaining plants
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Occasional speaking opportunities engaging the community
• Customer service oriented
• Work well with an established team
• Familiar with plant botanical names
• Familiar with southern California native plant communities
• Available to work Saturday

• Farming experience

• Full time around 40 hours per week.

• $20- $25 per hour to start, depending on experience
• Paid sick, vacation and holidays
