** basic job function
*** enthusiastically represents the company by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
* coordinates and performs tasks necessary to maintain the appearance of exhibits and holding pools by performing the following duties.
* prepares and reviews area work schedules.
** principal duties
*** maintains all records on equipment, maintenance and daily dive longs.
* responsible for maintaining machinery and associated dive equipment by ensuring service calls on repairs are made.
* assists in the coordination of preventive maintenance program and spare parts inventory.
* ensures proper operation of the compressed breathing air compressor.
* responsible for the coordination and service of all ozone contact chambers.
* responsibilities include, but are not limited to; training team members, planning, assisting and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
* must stay current on all osha dive regulations.
* utilizes safe handling, storage and disposal practices for toxic substance and hazardous waste in accordance with seaworld and department operating procedures.
** required skills, knowledge, education, and training
*** must be at least 18 years of age.
* must have an associate’s degree (a.a.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
* must have four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* must have and maintain a valid driver’s license; visiting students and military must have a valid driver’s license from state of residency and able to provide a copy of the dmv report.
* must be c.p.r., first aid and open water certified.
* must be current and trained on all applicable company safety training.
* must have basic computer skills in word, power point and excel.
* must have strong written/verbal communication skills.
* must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members.
* must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
