Job Description Summary
The Quality Document Management Specialist is responsible for the creation, control, and maintenance of engineering documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), Change Orders (COs), and technical specifications. This role ensures all documentation meets established quality, compliance, and manufacturing standards.
The position supports the full document lifecycle by generating, reviewing, and processing controlled documents with a high degree of accuracy. This role partners with CO owners to research, analyze, and validate change submissions and provides guidance to team members on document control and change order processes. The Specialist contributes to the development and ongoing improvement of documentation systems and supports Quality‑focused projects as assigned.
The role requires effective prioritization in a fast‑paced environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position also serves as a resource for colleagues with less experience and completes additional responsibilities as directed by management.

EssentialJob Duties
- Manages engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), Change Orders (COs), and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with manufacturing and quality standards
- Demonstrates solid knowledge of theories, practices and processes associated with Quality Document Management or Configuration Management systems
- Generates, processes, and maintains controlled documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Provides guidance and coaching to professional associates on the change order process
- Assists with the development, deployment and maintenance of controlled documentation and supporting systems
- Collaborates with CO owners to research, analyze, and verify COs submitted to Document Control
- Supports special projects aligned with Quality objectives
- Utilizes electronic documentation management systems proficiently
- Prioritizes and executes tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Possesses exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Implements and completes additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by reporting manager
- Works independently with minimal supervision and exercises sound judgment in determining work priorities
- Serves as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience in Document Control/Configuration Management is required
- Experience with medical devices in a regulated environment (i.e. QSR, GMPs, ISO 13485, ISO 9001) is required
- Experience using SAP a plus
- Experience using Team Center DMS a plus
- In-depth understanding and working knowledge with Microsoft Office applications and other standard business applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Exhibits attention to detail as well as strong decision making and problem‑solving skills

Salary Range Information$80,600.00 - $ USD Annual
