Overview
Dexcom Corporation is a global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and is expanding into consumer health technology. The Supervisor, Quality Assurance – Receiving Inspection will manage a team of Quality Inspection personnel and coordinate nonconforming material processes across the San Diego site.
Responsibilities- Perform supervisory and administrative duties associated with Receiving Inspection and QA Support personnel.
- Coordinate tasks and work plans of the Receiving Inspection and Nonconforming Material area.
- Observe and verify the accuracy and adequacy of inspection activities and records, including activities in 1factory inspection system.
- Observe and verify the accuracy and adequacy of the NCMR activities and records in IQVIA.
- Manage material flow, storage of parts, and accurate inventory transactions within the MRP system.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts for Material Review Board (MRB) sub‑inventory locations.
- Manage First Article Inspections and ad hoc inspection requirements through Jira.
- Maintain quality metrics and reports as required.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Write and update area‑related procedures and work instructions.
- Support inspection of engineering builds.
- Work across sites to ensure alignment of Receiving Inspection Activities.
- Conduct training for personnel.
- Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other departments to support quality and business objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience supervising in a medical device or equivalent regulated industry with quality management systems.
- Knowledge of 21
CFR
820, EN ISO 13485, acceptance sampling plans (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, Z1.9), and nonconforming material controls. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Metrology systems knowledge, GDT knowledge, and experience with vision systems such as Keyence, OGP, and Mitutoyo.
- Experience with Heigh Gages, CT scanners for metrology desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle, 1factory, IQVIA, Reliance, and Solid Works preferred.
- Computer skills and familiarity with database applications.

Experience & Education5‑8 years of industry experience; informal management/team lead experience. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 6‑8 years of industry experience. Formal management/team lead experience may be preferred.
