Special Inspector​/Technician

Job Description

Kleinfelder's San Diego office seeks experienced construction materials testing technicians to join our team.

• Follow proper procedures.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
• Prepare daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets.
• Perform accurate computations.
• Maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
• Travel from time to time may be required.

• Minimum 4 years construction materials testing or inspection experience.
• ICC Reinforced Concrete certification.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification.
• Radiation safety training for operation of a nuclear density gauge.
• Minimum 4 years soils observation and testing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Proficiency with company-provided laptop or tablet and MS Office applications.
• Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

• ICC Soils Special Inspector.
• Caltrans Testing Certifications.
• ICC Structural Steel and Bolting.
• CWI.
• ICC Structural Masonry.
• ICC Fireproofing.
• FRP.
• IFC Fire Stopping.

The expected hourly range is $30.39 - $50.72.
