Our client is a growing optics and precision manufacturing company where quality is the product. They're hiring a detail-oriented Quality Inspector & Assembler to be the last line of defense on every lens that ships.
This is hands-on bench work in a clean room for someone who takes pride in careful, meticulous work. If you've done inspection, assembly, lab, or precision production work, they'll train you on their tools, drawings, and optical standards. What you'll do- Inspect optical lenses and components for surface defects (scratches, digs, and cosmetic flaws) using magnification and optical inspection equipment
- Take precise measurements with calibrated tools such as calipers
- Assemble small, intricate optical components with a steady hand
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings to check parts against specifications
- Apply sample-rate inspection to keep quality consistent
- Document inspection results and keep accurate quality records
- Follow clean room and contamination-control protocols under their ISO 9001 system
- Exceptional attention to detail and a careful, methodical approach
- Steady hands and comfort with small, intricate, close-tolerance work (assembly, electronics, jewelry, watch repair, models, or similar all count)
- Some hands-on experience in inspection, assembly, lab, production, or a comparable precision environment
- Comfort working in a clean room for full shifts
- Basic computer comfort, you'll do data entry across a several applications
- High school diploma or equivalent, and authorization to work in the US
- Experience reading mechanical drawings or using calipers and precision measurement tools
- Optical or quality inspection experience (surface quality, scratch-dig criteria)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality procedures
- Background in optics, medical device, or semiconductor manufacturing
The expected range is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and skills. Final compensation is set during the selection process and may vary.
