Position: Inspection Technician I

Job Summary

Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions | Conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards | Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards | Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards

  • Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks
  • Develops understanding in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
  • Works with close supervision
  • Performs manual tasks according to established procedures
Essential Functions
  • Assists with repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials
  • Supports with inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
  • Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required. Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained.
  • Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing.
  • Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
  • Assists in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
  • Requires ability to interpret prints, schematics, and drawings.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset;
    No prior experience needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Mathematical skills. Computer skills. Technical expertise. Detail oriented.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Travel Requirements

No or very little travel likely.

Pay Range (USD)

Min $43,200/Annu.

- Max $58,400/Annu.

Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
