A rapidly growing technology company is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join its team in San Diego.
This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys building and improving quality systems in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in establishing robust quality processes, driving continuous improvement and ensuring high standards across manufacturing, suppliers and product development.
Working closely with engineering, operations, suppliers and external manufacturing partners, you’ll help build and scale the company’s quality infrastructure as it continues to grow.
What you’ll be doing :- Establish, monitor and continuously improve company-wide quality processes and management systems
- Lead ISO certification activities and help maintain ongoing compliance
- Drive manufacturing quality, yield improvement and product reliability
- Develop and manage Supplier Quality programmes, including vendor qualification, audits and performance monitoring
- Lead root cause analysis and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Work with engineering teams to develop Quality Control Plans and complete FMEAs
- Monitor and report key quality metrics, including yield, failure trends and non-conformance activities
- Work closely with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to resolve quality issues and implement improvements
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within semiconductors, advanced packaging, electronics, photonics or a similar high-tech manufacturing environment
- Experience establishing or improving Quality Management Systems
- Proven experience leading or supporting ISO certification
- Strong experience in Supplier Quality, including vendor audits and subcontractor management
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies including SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why and Gage R&R
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, yield and reliability challenges
- Experience with in optoelectronics or optical transceivers would be highly advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment with changing priorities

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 + Equity + Full Benefits Package
