Quality Assurance; QA) Director

Maximus is looking for a remote Quality Assurance (QA) Director to lead enterprise-wide quality initiatives. This senior leader will drive strategic quality management, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance and performance excellence across multiple projects and programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define, communicate, and provide oversight for all quality management activities, including quality monitoring systems, quality reviews, analysis, reporting, corrective actions, readiness reviews, project reviews, related outcomes and associated follow-up actions, including controls, monitoring, and proven practices.
• Develop contractual and quality assurance oversight systems and goals and implements specific objectives to ensure oversight systems are adequate and goals are realized, including but not limited to evaluating the effectiveness of contract required programs, policies, systems, and processes.
• Develop strategies and solutions for quality functions within business development opportunities including innovative, cost-effective approaches for quality management meeting contractual and governmental requirements.
• Define strategies and process to implement a comprehensive quality management discipline across multiple projects.
• Build a team responsible for quality management, including both direct reports and staff in a matrix reporting relationship. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of staff training and training plans.
• Continually monitor metrics and performance across multiple projects to improve performance as needed, including evaluating the accuracy of fiscal administration processes.
• Provide guidance and oversight to projects developing quality plans and methodologies to maintain robust quality management systems meeting all necessary compliance standards.
• Direct all compliance certifications and re-certifications, including ISO 9001 quality management standards. Monitor the effectiveness of subcontractors and compliance with all contract requirements.
• Serve as member of a collaborative management team, and conduct regular management review meetings.
• Direct the design, development and implementation of reports to continuously monitor and measure all aspects of quality performance for multiple functional areas and projects, including evaluating document control efficiency and accuracy.

• Participate in weekly and reoccurring client meetings to provide updates, address questions, discuss emerging concerns, and maintain strong alignment on quality priorities and expectations.
• Develop and present client facing performance content that translates results, trends, risks and opportunities into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Lead deep dive analysis of quality and performance trends going beyond surface level results to identify underlying drivers, patterns, and emerging risks. Translates findings into actionable insights that help our client and internal partners determine where targeted training, process improvements, communications, or other interventions may be needed.
• Actively engage in AI-related initiatives and emerging technologies, staying informed on new capabilities and offerings, building knowledge of their potential application, and identifying opportunities to leverage AI to enhance the overall program performance.
• Provide strategic quality leadership across multiple concurrent projects and initiatives representing the quality organization while partnering closely with the project management office and cross functional stakeholders.
