We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support quality assurance operations within a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and AS9100 quality standards.
The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience using precision measuring tools, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and related documentation per SAE AS9102 requirements
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, gauges, and CMM equipment
- Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with AS9100 procedures and quality standards
- Perform final inspection and shipping verification tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
- Collaborate with machinists, supervisors, engineers, and production staff to support manufacturing needs
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation within ERP systems and related applications
- Support process audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities
- Cross-train across departments and assist with additional quality-related tasks as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Minimum 1 year of quality inspection or manufacturing inspection experience preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge required
- Familiarity with tooling, fixtures, and precision measurement techniques
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic shop math proficiency
- Understanding of manufacturing safety and quality systems
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Aerospace manufacturing or AS9100 experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is a plus
- Working knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, fixtures, and work-holding systems
- Ability to interpret and understand CMM reports
- Pay Range: $20.00 – $30.00/hour DOE
- Full-time, non-exempt opportunity
