Company WebsitePosition SummaryNRT Med Tech is seeking a highly motivated Scientist with expertise in display technologies for antibody discovery to help advance our drug discovery programs.
In this role, you will design and execute experiments, analyze and present data, and contribute to cross‑functional scientific discussions. You will play a direct role in developing analytical workflows to ensure the quality and functionality of biotherapeutics, supporting programs from early discovery through process development.
This position is ideal for a bench scientist who embraces process discipline, thrives in a collaborative biotech environment, and is eager to expand their skillset in a fast‑paced, startup‑minded team.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the antibody (i.e., VHH) discovery and development process through applying knowledge of molecular biology, genetic engineering, and chemistry to build the next generation of peptide display platforms
- Prepare and execute phage display campaigns including library construction, phage panning and clone screening
- Execute molecular biology workflows such as mRNA isolation, cDNA synthesis and DNA cloning
- Perform ELISA and other protein–protein interaction assays (e.g., BLI, SPR) to evaluate binding characteristics
- Contribute to data analysis, documentation, and scientific discussions across teams
- Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally, and excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Present experimental results at internal team meetings
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related life science field
- 2–3 years of experience in phage antibody discovery in a biotech, pharma or academic setting
- Demonstrated hands on expertise in executing phage display antibody discovery workflows, including phage panning, clone recovery, and downstream characterization of enriched binders
- Strong hands‑on experience in mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry (FACS)
- Proficiency in advanced molecular cloning methodologies (e.g., Gibson assembly, Golden Gate, site‑directed mutagenesis)
- Familiarity with protein biophysics and design, including ELISA, BLI, DSF, or similar methods.
- Excellent collaboration, documentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated scientific productivity (publications, presentations, or patents).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be available to start in two months.
- Experience with single domain antibody discovery and optimization
- Proficiency in protein structure analysis (e.g., PyMOL, MOE), as well as in protein engineering and library design.
- Base Salary: USD $70,000–$90,000 per year (Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and internal leveling.)
