Scientist - II; Associate

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Associate Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA, 92101
. Details of the position are as follows.

• Pay: $48.00- $56.66/hr to start!.
• 1 year contract with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
• Position will mainly be responsible for expressing and purifying therapeutic proteins and critical protein reagents to support biologics discovery programs, while testing and characterizing protein quality using biophysical techniques.
• Responsibilities also include maintaining mammalian cell lines in culture to support protein expression, purification, and characterization activities, while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to laboratory procedures.
• Position will also be responsible for supporting biologics inventory management, coordinating material transfer requests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient laboratory operations and project support.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree is required.
• Industry experience culturing mammalian cells for protein expression is required.
• Experience with antibody and protein purification using low pressure chromatography is required.
