Overview
In this role you will be part of the Advanced Research and Technology team that focuses on evaluating and establishing the feasibility of next generation technologies and products for Dexcom. The role will focus on the synthesis and evaluation of new sensor platforms as a key technical contributor among a cross‑functional team of innovators.
Responsibilities- Participate in the development of next generation biosensor technology, including synthesis, prototyping, testing, data analysis and interpretation.
- Build and characterize sensors and execute experiments in a wet‑chemistry lab.
- Contribute to the design of new experimental setups and partake in test method development for next generation sensor technology.
- Analyze data from bench, pre‑clinical and clinical tests.
- Make extensive use of statistical and/or software tools for sample size justification and interpreting the significance of experimental results (e.g., JMP, MATLAB, or Python).
- Produce analysis tools or adapt existing tools to automate data analysis.
- Prepare lab reports and maintain documentation.
- Prepare and follow up on engineering build requests.
- Experience working in a wet laborator environment.
- Exposure to basic concepts in statistical analysis (t‑tests, ANOVA etc.) and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Matlab, or Python).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferably, experience with electrochemistry, electrochemical (bio) sensors, wearable sensors and related manufacturing and testing processes.

Education and ExperienceTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2–5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 0–2 years of equivalent industry experience.
