About the Role
We are looking for a highly effective, motivated and collaborative Scientist to join our Lead Generation Biology team to support biologics therapeutic and platform discovery. Responsibilities include executing, troubleshooting and analyzing results from our core platform immunoassays and cell‑based assays to generate high‑quality, reproducible data. Critical analysis, basic troubleshooting, and timely delivery of results are essential for identifying lead compounds and contributing to the understanding of potency and mechanism of action.
The individual will document protocols, present clear written and verbal data summaries, and work in a fast‑paced, process‑oriented environment where efficiency and quality are integral goals.
- Perform platform immunoassays for ex vivo biologics drug exposure and/or biomarker to support interpretation of study results.
- Perform basic assay qualifications to ensure measured levels are accurate and reflect biologically relevant response.
- Perform basic QC and troubleshooting to ensure results are relevant and of highest quality.
- Generate high‑quality data, summarize and document results for ELN and reports, and present concise results to project teams.
- Adapt rapidly and effectively as needed to ensure fit‑for‑purpose delivery of our established platform assays.
- Work with a strong sense of urgency to deliver critical data for decision‑making.
- Perform routine cell culture as needed.
- Document assay performance and maintain strong record keeping.
- Collaborate within and across functional teams to advance various projects simultaneously without compromising data quality or reproducibility.
- Work independently and in a team environment to execute shared team deliverables on time.
- BS/BA degree in a scientific field and 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience performing MSD, ELISA and/or other immunoassays.
- Experience developing and qualifying denovo immunoassays for measuring analytes in complex matrices.
- Practical experience with a broad range of in‑vitro biological assays (e.g., cell reporter cell lines, cell signaling, cytokine release).
- Experience and knowledge of mammalian cell culture techniques.
- Outstanding experimental design, problem‑solving, and data analysis skills.
- Experience with automation, inventory systems, data analysis and informatics platforms.
- Strong sense of urgency in delivering high‑quality, reproducible decision‑making data.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), time‑management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Neurocrine’s core values of Passion, Collaboration, Tenacity, Innovation, and Integrity.
Pay you should reasonably expect to receive is $43.17 – $62.55 per hour, depending on location, complexity and responsibility of the role, and relevant experience.
