Position: In Vivo Technician

In Vivo Research Technician

My client is seeking a skilled In Vivo Research Technician with strong expertise in mouse handling, husbandry, and in vivo study execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with animal models, particularly proficiency in intravenous (IV) injections, tumor models, and tissue collection. Experience with fibrosis or lung disease models is highly desirable but not required.

This opportunity is structured as a part‑time contract (10–20 hours/week) for an initial 6+ month(s). The ideal candidate would have the opportunity to grow with the team, with the potential to transition into a permanent full‑time role in the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands‑on in vivo animal studies, including mouse handling, husbandry, dosing, and monitoring.
  • Execute various injection techniques, with a strong emphasis on IV injections.
  • Support subcutaneous and intravenous/disseminated tumor models.
  • Perform blood collection and tissue harvesting/preparation, including spleen and bone marrow sampling.
  • Assist with study execution, data collection, and review/drafting of study protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of animal studies and experimental procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of mouse husbandry and technical in vivo experience.
  • 2–4+ years of industry experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in intravenous (IV), intraperitoneal (IP), and subcutaneous (SC) injection techniques.
  • Experience working in a full‑time in vivo technician role.
  • Strong understanding of mouse models and preclinical study workflows.
  • Experience with tumor models, including subcutaneous and disseminated disease models.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fibrosis disease models (lung fibrosis preferred).
  • Background in lung biology or fibrotic disease research.
  • Experience with complex in vivo disease models.
