Job Title
The successful candidate will provide in vivo and ex vivo support for pre-clinical drug development and discovery efforts for treating inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
The role requires independent study execution, mechanistic investigation, data analysis, and effective communication of scientific findings within cross-functional project teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Independently design, plan, and execute in vivo experiments; conduct follow on ex vivo analysis addressing drug mechanism-of-action.
- Execute pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic, target engagement, efficacy, or mechanism of action studies to support pre-clinical and discovery programs.
- Administer small molecule compounds to mice, measure endpoints (e.g., body/tissue weight) and collect blood/tissue for analysis.
- Perform ex vivo analysis on collected sera and/or tissues as required. Assays include and not limited to: MSD, ELISA, multiplex Immunoassay (Legend Plex), flow cytometry, and qPCR.
- Analyze, interpret, and visualize experimental data (Prism, Excel) and other data analysis tools and maintain accurate experimental records and organize scientific data in a clear and reproducible manner.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary pharmacology team.
- Collect, organize and present scientific/technical data (PowerPoint) internally and in project team meetings.
- BS with 6+ years' experience of in vivo in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting. Ideally the degree should be in Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology, or related field. Preference given to Immunology experience.
- Rodent dosing routes (PO, IV, IP, SC), blood collection (sub-mandibular, terminal cardiac), necropsy, and organ collection are required.
- Experience with the following techniques is highly desired: flow cytometry, qPCR, MSD, Luminex, and ELISA.
- Rodent surgery experience is a plus.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be an effective team player and strong individual contributor, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.
The hourly pay for this position ranges from $38.00 to $45.00 depending on relevant skills, experience, and education.
