Kelly Science and Clinical FSP is currently seeking a Associate Scientist for a long-term engagement in La Jolla, CA with one of our Global Pharmaceutical clients. This person will join our Kelly FSP (Functional Service Provider) division, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc. - Minimum
Education Required: - Bachelor’s degree in scientific field, master’s degree preferred. Will accept PhD candidates
- Minimum Experience:
- 2 – 4 years of experience in RNA modalities, process development
- Strong Knowledge of RNA purification or chemical engineering or related scientific methodologies is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience of process development methodologies is required.
- Hands-on experience with AKTA chromatography system and Unicorn software is required.
- Should be highly organized and must possess excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
- Highly organized and capable of working in a team environment with a positive attitude under limited supervision.
- Location:
- Must be local to La Jolla, CA
- Support RNA manufacturing process development by assisting in RNA purification and chromatographic studies.
- Aid and support system programming, preparation, maintenance, solving, and cleaning AKTA chromatography systems.
- Setup process equipment for lab-scale experiments.
- Collaborate with process development and multi-functional colleagues on analytical testing and sample results.
- Work in a team environment as well as contributing individually to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Keep accurate records, follow instructions, and align with company and EHSS policies.
- Implement improvement projects to strengthen overall lab proficiencies.
- Be accountable for good documentation of experiments.
