We are a San Diego-based biotech company that provides primary cell cultures, specialized growth media, and cell biology products for research use worldwide. We are seeking a CELL CULTURE TECHNICIAN to join our production team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and is dependable, adaptable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing high-quality products with precision and consistency. Your work directly supports researchers at universities, biotechnology companies, and pharmaceutical organizations worldwide who rely on our products to advance biomedical research and drug discovery.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Isolate, culture, expand, maintain, and cryopreserve mammalian cell cultures using aseptic laboratory techniques.
  • Perform tissue dissection, small animal surgical procedures, and other laboratory procedures as required.
  • Perform quality control testing, analyze data, and record results.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including routine microscope work.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, inventory, supplies, and accurate laboratory records.
  • Participate in production, process improvement, and research and development activities as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
  • One or more years of mammalian cell culture experience preferred.
  • B.S. degree in Cell Biology or a closely related scientific field.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to perform aseptic laboratory techniques.
  • Ability to perform laboratory calculations, including cell concentration, viability, seeding density, population doublings, molarity, dilutions, and related calculations.
  • Working knowledge of standard laboratory practices, safety procedures, and life science laboratory equipment.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive laboratory procedures, including extended microscope use, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
