Research Technician I
Role:
Research Technician I supporting vivarium husbandry at Arrowhead’s San Diego facility, ensuring daily animal care and room upkeep.
- perform health checks, cage changes, animal receiving, ear tagging, and sanitation
- assist with colony management and study documentation
- support operational tasks including inventory management
- conduct weekend and holiday health checks
- high school diploma with 1+ years’ experience working with rodents in a research setting
- animal husbandry, restraint, handling skills preferred
- strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree in Biology, Vet Tech, or similar, or equivalent experience.
High-value biopharma specificsHigh-value biopharma specifics: supporting preclinical rodent models for RNAi-based therapeutics; focus on quality animal care within regulated GxP environments.
Work setupWork setup: onsite in San Diego, 5 days/week, with weekend/holiday duties.
