Job SummaryAs a sales associate you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. You will be directly responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities- Customer Service: Proactively engage and connect with customers, ask questions, listen to their needs, guide them to merchandise, inform about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card. Provide premier customer service and build inclusive, respectful relationships.
- Organization: Maintain store appearance.
- Sales: Cross‑sell products, guide customers on latest trends and promotions, upsell, learn product features, use the Point‑of‑Sale system for cash, discounts, gift cards, credit, debit and cash handling, and complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
- Inventory: Keep merchandise inventory, complete inventory processes, properly check in and ticket merchandise, and participate in periodic inventories.
- Dependability: Adhere to assigned work schedule, complete work assignments accurately, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of products merchandise.
- Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate with customers, peers, and management, and with proper telephone etiquette.
- Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Reasoning ability:
Multi‑task while attending to customers, flexible, initiative, independent of direct supervision. - Physical demands: moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, standing ≥2 h, occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, vision (close, color, depth), lift 25–50 lbs; indoor mainly, may be outdoors.
Available to work a variety of hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
No experience required. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
