At Hot Topic, we’re passionate about music, pop culture, and creating the most amazing in‑store experience for our customers and employees. We’re searching for a Full‑Time Assistant Manager to help lead the loudest store in the mall. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives—hitting sales targets, recruiting, and developing the team. You’re a problem‑solver who drives sales and builds lifelong relationships with customers.

• Support your Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or commission sales goals.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a super‑collaborative, passionate team to run your store.
• Be the store’s #1 fan—create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products, social media, BOPIS, and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership around running an operationally sound business; balance ops, delegation/autonomy, and customer‑first selling practices.
• Keep watch on shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Collaboratively communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends & customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide your strategy to hit sales targets.
• Merchandise the store compellingly, leveraging planograms as a guide, and launch all promos on time.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop your team into a high‑performing, customer‑focused group.

• At least 1–2 years of retail store management experience (music and pop‑culture enthusiasm a plus).
• Strong leadership skills—communication, recruiting, operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising), and talent development.
• Excellent time management, professionalism, and a drive to develop your team.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent (degree preferred).
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑changing industry and handle challenges.
• Physical capability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
