Jetty Extracts is looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to support our Sales team in San Diego and Inland Empire, CA. Reporting to the CA Director of Sales, you’ll play a key role in supporting and growing high-volume Jetty dispensary partners; maintaining a solid relationship with buyers, owners, and key account personnel while applying an analytical approach to account strategy.
The KAM Sales role will open and maintain new doors, optimize sales opportunities, and use data to build and maintain business. The KAM position will develop detailed strategies and plans to open new and develop existing businesses and apply the following tactics; promotions, training, incentives, merchandising, sell‑through, and support acceleration to a level where Field Marketing reps can continue the course.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for representing Jetty Extracts brands and achieving customer objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), goals, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics while managing customers in a manner that will achieve profitable, long‑term growth while maintaining company values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and key account personnel
- Solve, redirect, and create strategies to resolve account issues
- Develop a deep understanding of account KPI’s including- key staff proliferation, store demographics, primary business drivers, etc.
- Analyze inventory, product needs and advise accounts and buyers on orders
- Manage and evaluate profitability and optimize Jetty distribution and positioning in each account
- Communication on account progress and plans with broader Jetty team members including leadership, sales team, marketing, and production
- Work closely with field marketing to develop sell‑through and marketing plans
- Implement strategic planning to improve and develop client results
- Negotiation on pricing with the client and establishing a timeline of performance
- Work with assigned team members, sales leadership to deliver quarterly revenue goals and establish account continuity (work‑withs, product training samples, etc.).
- Meet all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
- Analyze weekly production reports, data, and industry trends to formulate a strategy to grow new and existing business
- Stay apprised of federal, state, and local laws affecting the cannabis space within account responsibility.
- Formulate your own market plan to become the #1 recommended extract brand in your territory through the use of budtender incentives, staff education, appropriate pricing, and effective merchandising.
