TÜV SÜD is seeking an Account Manager to support customers requiring testing, certification, and regulatory compliance services for medical and non-medical electrical and wireless products. This customer-facing role serves as a trusted advisor throughout the sales and project lifecycle, helping clients navigate certification requirements while coordinating internally to ensure successful project execution.
The ideal candidate brings experience in technical sales, account management, or TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) services and enjoys building long-term customer relationships in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage customer accounts, quotations, proposals, and opportunities using CRM and project management systems.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, virtual meetings, and web channels while providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Recommend certification, testing, and compliance solutions based on customer product requirements and applicable regulations.
- Meet with customers virtually and onsite to understand technologies, regulatory requirements, testing needs, and project timelines.
- Develop and grow customer relationships through account management and cross-selling opportunities across TÜV SÜD's service portfolio.
- Partner with engineering, laboratory operations, and project management teams to ensure accurate project scoping and quotation development.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, customer records, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
- Support project initiation activities and facilitate seamless transition from sales to laboratory execution.
- Communicate project status updates, schedules, and regulatory requirements to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain knowledge of domestic and international regulatory, testing, and certification requirements applicable to customer industries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in account management, business development, technical sales, or customer relationship management.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic product compliance requirements for consumer, industrial, wireless, medical device, or related products.
- Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience providing EMC, RF/Wireless, Product Safety, or TIC-related services.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certifications such as FCC, FDA, EU MDR, ISED, or EU RED.
- Experience working with international customers and global regulatory environments.
- Knowledge of standards including IEC 60601, IEC/UL 62368, or other Product Safety, EMC, and Wireless compliance standards.
