POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE - Sanner Lab - Integrative Structural and Computational Biology
Position Summary:
The Sanner lab is part of the Center for Computational Structural Biology (CCSB) develop cutting‑edge software for modeling, analyzing, and visualizing molecular interactions, and the successful candidate will continue developing the Auto Dock Crank Pep (ADCP) software, extending its code in C, C++, and Python, testing the implementation, and applying it to biomedically relevant targets in collaboration with experimental biologists.
Responsibilities:
- Extend ADCP software code in C, C++, and Python.
- Test and validate new implementations.
- Apply ADCP to biomedically relevant targets, primarily through collaborations with experimental biologists.
- Integrate ADCP with AI methods such as Alpha Fold.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in biophysics, computer science, or biomedical sciences, with substantial experience in scientific programming.
- Strong interest in structural biology and biomedical research.
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning is a plus.
- Pending doctoral degree may be considered upon Principal Investigator approval.
Compensation: $70,304 – $75,353 annually, following NIH and California exempt salary guidelines, with consideration for experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
