Behavioral Health Services has an immediate opening for the Executive Housekeeper position at Edgemoor Distinct Part Skilled Nursing Facility in Santee. The position is full‑time and on‑site, responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, evaluating, and administering the housekeeping and laundry programs. The Executive Housekeeper may also perform housekeeping duties as needed.

Future Salary Increases:
June 2027 – 5.27 % increase to base pay (3 % across‑the‑board + 2.27 % market adjustment).

• Job offer and background process begin shortly after interviews.
• Pre‑employment medical screening approximately 3 days after successful background investigation.
• Anticipated start date based on completion of screening or mutually agreed date.

Education or certifications: possession of an associate degree or higher, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in Environmental Health, or certification as a Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of Title 22 Skilled Nursing Facility Requirements
• Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (OBRA) for Skilled Nursing Facilities
• Understanding of California Department of Public Health facility surveys
• Principles and techniques of supervision
• Training and in‑service methodologies
• Infection control procedures (isolation, biomedical waste disposal)
• Housekeeping procedures in patient areas, office, and food preparation/serving areas
• Inventory control and linen distribution
• Floor care management (waxing, buffing, stripping)
• Use of appropriate disinfecting agents for a hospital environment
• Customer service objectives and strategies
• Telephone, office, and online etiquette; proficiency with computers, typing, MS Office, email.
