Job Description
Unarmed Security Officers Needed!! New Contract! $22/hr!!!
Inter-Con is seeking aspiring individuals to join our team of Security Officers. You will work as a member of a close team to form the backbone of the broad security services Inter-Con provides its valued clients every day.

All Security Guards shall meet the following minimum criteria:
Security Guards shall have a minimum of three (3) years of security guard experience, of which two (2) years must be protecting critical infrastructure sectors or equivalent duty. Commercial facility sector, apartment/HOA, or retail store security experience does not qualify. The following experience will be considered equivalent duty:
- US Military
: 2 years or more in any branch, with an honorable discharge. - Police Officer: 2 or more years with acceptable performance.
- Graduate of a Police or Corrections Academy (must be POST certified), and one (1) year experience protecting critical infrastructure in sectors other than commercial facilities.
- Completion of Criminal Justice Degree, Associate or higher, and one (1) year experience protecting critical infrastructure in sectors other than commercial facilities.
- Completion of Homeland Security Degree, and one (1) year experience protecting critical infrastructure in sectors other than commercial facilities.
- Qualifying critical infrastructure experience must be clearly identified and placed in the security guard's personnel folder.
- Security Guards shall possess an acceptable level of agility, stamina, and overall good physical health allowing them to:
- Stand for up to eight (8) hours at a single post.
- Walk long distances over uneven terrain, dirt or rocky paths, day and night, and in all weather conditions.
- Lift twenty-five (25) lbs.
- Security Guards shall be proficient in English, both written and oral, and have basic log and report writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct yourself professionally.
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols within an office, industrial complex or shopping centers with medium/high volume of people.
- Perform patrols around the perimeter.
- Check all personnel entering facilities.
- Log in all visitors, vehicles and vendors.
- Issue visitor badges as required.
- Maintain security, visitor logs and other records.
- Administer access control over vehicles entering garages or other parking structures.
- Operate a hand-held radio, cell phone or other communication devices as needed.
- Access control of all entries by employees, vendors, contractors, visitors, etc.
- Maintain and carry the assigned company cell phone as required.
- Assist employees in an orderly evacuation of the building and to Muster Points in the event of a fire or other emergency.
- Observe and report suspicious activity or situations and use communication skills and deductive reasoning to prioritize your responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Speak, read, and write English.
- Shall possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency.
- Must be of high integrity and possess exemplary security skills and judgment.
- Must possess above average computer skills and must hold all necessary and required licenses, permits and certifications required by the assignment to perform security officer duties.
- Valid California Guard Card.
- Pass a background Check.
- Pass a 5-panel drug test.
- Driver's License / State .
