Security Officers protect vital assets, receive training in enhanced security procedures, and work with advanced technology. High qualifications and rigorous training are required, but successful officers join a distinguished team within the Inter-Con family.

As an Unarmed Security Officer you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues requiring enhanced presence, and personal protective services. You will be trained by qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. You are an integral part of Inter-Con’s security services.

• Monitors entrances and exits; controls entry and movement of people and vehicles; operates gates and examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances with CCTV; operates remote access devices.
• Patrols assigned sites on foot or by vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions and hazards; inspects High Risk areas, unlocked doors, security violations, and unauthorized persons.
• Prepares logs or reports for the site; enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes action per Client's Global Security standards.
• Protects evidence or scenes of incidents; sets up barriers and signage; provides direction or information as needed.
• Responds to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents following site procedures and training.
• Maintains Basic First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Ensures that all property removal is conducted within policy requirements.
• Issues necessary Hot Work Permits.
• Carries out responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner; communicates openly and honestly as needed.

• Job operates on client sites indoors or outdoors.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during security activities.
• Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed.
• Work various shifts and holidays as assigned.
