Job Description
- Monitors entrances and exits, preventing unauthorized entry; controls people and vehicle movement and parking; operates gates, examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances via CCTV; operates remote access devices.
- Patrols assigned site on foot or vehicle to ensure a secure environment; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, and blocked ingress/egress; inspects buildings and grounds with appropriate equipment.
- Prepares logs or reports; writes or types reports; enters information into a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes required action per Client’s Global Security standards.
- Protects evidence or incident scenes, sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information.
- Responds to incidents (fire, medical, bomb threat, flooding, hazardous materials, inclement weather, etc.) following procedures and training level.
- Maintains Basic First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Ensures property removal complies with policy.
- Issues necessary Hot Work Permits.
- Carries out all responsibilities honestly, ethically, and professionally.
- Communicates openly, honestly, and responsively in all situations authorized.
Work Environment and Schedule
- Jobs operate on client sites both indoors and outdoors.
- Requires prolonged standing and walking during daily security activities.
- Open availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Work various shifts and holidays as assigned.
