As a Security Officer Full Time Corporate Building Patrol in San Diego, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. You will complete routine patrols and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Pay Rate: $22.70 / Hour

  • Sun: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations through established channels.
  • Support order at the location by observing daily activity, providing directions and assistance to the public, and following post orders related to government operations and restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
