MESF Training Program Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Position OverviewD2 Government Solutions is seeking MESF Training Program Management Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) aligned with Objective Area 5 to support the Force Generation Professional Support Services requirement for Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG ONE).
This is a contingent position
, with two openings available
, focused on managing training programs, readiness reporting, and certification processes for MESF units.
- Primary
Work Location:
MESG ONE, NOLF-IB, Imperial Beach, CA - Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required
- Serve as a primary liaison to Echelon V and VI Training Officers
, providing guidance and recommendations on:- Training policy and processes
- Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
- Instructional methods and planning
- Manage, review, and update training and readiness status for assigned units within ERAS (Enterprise Readiness Assessment System)
- Support development and coordination of Naval messaging related to readiness reporting across commands
- Serve as a Subject Matter Representative for deployment certification, evaluating:
- Unit readiness
- Individual proficiency
- Command-level performance
(in coordination with MESG ONE N7 and MESTEU)
- Provide quality assurance oversight of training pipelines for incoming personnel
- Advise Echelon V N7 staff, instructors, and training managers on training execution and standards
- Validate scheduling and execution of ranges, facilities, and training resources to support unit progression through the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP)
- Training performance
- Readiness gaps
- Improvement recommendations
- Analyze Naval Reserve manpower and Individual Augmentee (IA) assignments for pre-mobilization training in support of Global Force Management (GFM) readiness objectives
- Active SECRET clearance (required at time of application)
- Minimum 15 years of operational, training, and readiness experience
, including warfare qualification (expeditionary or MESF experience preferred) - Minimum 3 years of experience with ERAS or Readiness and Cost Reporting Systems
- Proficiency in Advanced Skills Management (ASM)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and program management skills
- Experience delivering written reports and oral briefings to senior leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with AI tools in government or civilian environments highly desired
- Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must comply with all Navy security policies and complete required training (e.g., Navy e-Learning)
