Security Operations Dispatcher - Hillcrest
Under general supervision, responsible for monitoring and acknowledging various intrusion, burglary, duress, infant abduction, and access control alarms; monitoring of CCTV activity, radio communication, and dispatching of pertinent resources as needed. Maintains lost and found and EDAR. Triage and prioritize inbound calls, and dispatch Security Agents and other resources where necessary based on UCSD response protocol. Duties are performed at the intermediate level.
Performs other duties and functions appropriate to the job classification as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications- Two (2) years experience in Access Control, CCTV, and/or Infant Security alarm monitoring; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with radio communications and video surveillance systems.
- Skills, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Must complete all departmental and organizational required training as necessary.
- Training and experience in Lenel Access Control Systems.
- Proficient with MS Office software and related applications.
- Ability to prioritize and triage calls based on UCSD Security Department protocols.
- Must be able to multitask and work independently in a challenging environment.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in hospital security.
- UC San Diego Health experience.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- This position may be assigned to or work interchangeably between the Hillcrest, La Jolla, and East Campus Medical Centers based on operational and business needs.
Annual Full Pay Range: $60,260 - $74,917 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $28.86 - $35.88
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
