Security Officer - Part Time Lobby Ambassador in San Diego, CA

As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. In this highly visible role, you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support daily security‑related operations with professionalism and care. $22.55 / Hour

• Mon: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, visitor management activities, and/or emergency response support at a busy front desk location.
• Greet employees, guests, vendors, and/or contractors, verify credentials, issue access materials as directed, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive access control practices.
• Answer phones, monitor lobby activity and security‑related systems, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site contacts and or Allied Universal leadership regarding unusual activity or concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, providing front desk support during alarms, evacuations, medical events, and/or other site emergencies.
• Maintain a professional presence at the reception area while completing reports, logs, and other administrative duties that support daily operations in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location.

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
