Senior Naval Fires and Command & Control (C2) Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Naval Fires and Command & Control (C2) Subject Matter Expert to provide operational expertise supporting Navy and Joint Force planning, training, exercises, and mission execution. The ideal candidate will possess extensive operational experience in naval warfare, maritime operations, and integrated fires planning, with a demonstrated ability to support senior military leaders and staff in complex operational environments.

This position requires a deep understanding of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) operations, Maritime Operations Center (MOC) planning processes, and Joint Command and Control structures. The selected candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic and operational insights to support mission success across a variety of defense initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in U.S. Navy and Joint Command and Control (C2) operations.
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of Naval Fires within joint and maritime operational environments.
  • Advise military leadership on operational planning, maritime warfare doctrine, and integrated fires employment.
  • Support Carrier Strike Group (CSG) and Maritime Operations Center (MOC) planning efforts, exercises, and operational assessments.
  • Analyze operational concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to improve mission effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development of operational plans, training programs, and exercise scenarios.
  • Facilitate coordination between Navy, Joint, and coalition organizations to support mission objectives.
  • Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior military and government stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance eligibility.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of operational U.S. Navy and/or Joint military experience in:
  • Command and Control (C2)
  • Naval Fires
  • Demonstrated experience supporting:
  • Carrier Strike Group (CSG) operations and planning; and/or
  • Maritime Operations Center (MOC) planning and execution.
  • Graduate of a U.S. military Command and Staff College OR possess an equivalent documented warfare qualification (e.g., Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Aviation Warfare Officer, Submarine Warfare Officer, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Joint operational planning processes, maritime doctrine, and integrated fires operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior military leaders, government personnel, and contractor teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Fleet, Numbered Fleet, Combatant Command, or Joint Staff organizations.
  • Experience with large-scale joint and combined exercises.
  • Knowledge of Joint Fires, Maritime Targeting, and Multi-Domain Operations concepts.
  • Recent operational experience within Navy operational headquarters, Carrier Strike Groups, Expeditionary Strike Groups, or Maritime Operations Centers.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Advanced military education and professional military education (PME) highly desirable.
Work Location
  • On-site at designated government or contractor facilities.
  • Travel may be required in support of exercises, planning conferences, and operational events.
Clearance Requirement
  • Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance required at the time of hire.
