Visual Security Officer - Loss Prevention; Part-Time Nights

Summary

Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of merchandise, customers, and associates at the Fashion Valley store. Monitors the sales floor and common areas through visual surveillance and proactive patrols. Collaborates with store management and law enforcement as needed to deter theft and ensure a secure shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the sales floor and perimeter using CCTV and direct observation.
• Conduct regular patrols and discreet surveillance to identify suspicious behavior.
• Apprehend, document, and report incidents of theft or loss; prepare accurate incident reports.
• Coordinate responses to incidents with store management and local authorities.
• Maintain detailed records of security activities and follow loss prevention protocols.

Requirements

• Prior retail security or loss prevention experience preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods.
• Willingness to work part-time schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to pass background check and comply with store security policies.
