As an Aircraft Mechanic II (Electronics), you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various aircraft systems, including engines, avionics, hydraulics, armament, landing gear, and more. You will ensure aircraft readiness, inspect and repair systems, and manage other mechanics to complete tasks on time.
ResponsibilitiesOverseeing repairs on aircraft systems (engine, gearbox, rotor, avionics, etc.) using appropriate tools and equipment. This includes structural work, rigging, surface controls, and hydraulic systems.
CDQAR (Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative).
Conducting regular inspections, including 175-hour, isochronal, and phase inspections, to identify issues such as cracks, leaks, corrosion, and other defects.
Adjusting, repairing, or replacing electrical wiring systems, accessories, and various aircraft components, ensuring aircraft remains mission-ready.
Assigning tasks, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and managing a team of mechanics.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and verifying that work was performed satisfactorily.
Specializing in areas such as engine/airframe repair, and completing additional qualifications as necessary, including ordnance qualifications.
- Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of recent O-level H-60S/R/F/H aircraft maintenance or equivalent rotary aircraft experience, including 5 years of H60 CDQAR/QAR experience. - MH60-R experience is preferred, along with prior experience with US Navy aircraft maintenance.
- Leadership
Experience:
At least 2 years in a management or leadership role. - Technical Knowledge:
Ability to interpret technical manuals and publications and perform complex repairs and inspections on aircraft systems. - Flexibility:
Must be willing to work all shifts, as required by the flight schedule and tasking. - Security Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Background Investigation and possibly a Secret Clearance.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks as required.
- Computer usage for documentation using codes and clear written and verbal English language required.
- Constant use of eyesight while reviewing documents, walking around work areas, and constant use of English language speech/hearing abilities for communication.
- Constant mental alertness around all work areas; planning/organization skills and ability to work under deadlines.
- Climbing aircraft using steps and ladders or stands.
- Standing for long periods; ability to work under extreme weather conditions.
- Work site hazards require proper PPE and safety procedures.
- Must be able to work all shifts. Full-time, but 40 hours per week is not guaranteed. Start time and end time depend on flight schedule/tasking.
