Position: ELECTRONIC MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will perform depot level overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, installation, and maintenance on complex electronic systems.
* You will maintain ongoing prototype systems as well as implement maintenance and repair procedures on major modifications of systems previously assigned to the activity.
* You will work from manufacturer's specifications, schematics, block diagrams, and technical orders, determine the operation of circuits, locate points from which to take readings, and analyze circuit layout to complete necessary visual inspection.
* You will independently perform depot level overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, installation and maintenance on electronic systems of greater complexity. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current CPR certification.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: (1) Implementing maintenance and repair procedures on major modifications of electronic systems; (2) Participating in the overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of electronic systems; (3) Operating and maintaining complex automated test equipment (ATE); (4) Interpreting manufacturer's specifications, schematics, block diagrams, and technical orders;

(5) Determining the operation of circuits and locating points from which to take readings; and (6) Analyzing circuit layouts to make visual inspections.
