Position: ELECTRONICS MECHANIC LEADER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will lead artisans who perform the full range of electrical, electronic and avionic mechanic duties at depot level.
* You will demonstrate and instruct workers on the proper work methods and ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials and tools are available.
* You will ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available.
* You will pass on instructions received from a supervisor to other workers, get the job started and work along with other employees and set the pace.
* You will coordinate pilot overhaul actions and provide technical assistance to personnel working on pilot overhaul tasks.
* You will ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed and keep the supervisor informed on the status and progress of work. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* You must take and pass a pre-employment physical examination.
* You may be required to participate in a medical surveillance for noise and sight and respirator.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.
* This position requires lifting and carrying objects up to 40 pounds. Any weight lifted in excess of 40 pounds will not be attempted unaided.
* You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* You may be required to work all shifts on a rotational basis including overtime.
* May be required to abide by Fall Protection policy and wear appropriate restraint systems when working 4 feet above ground surface.
* CPR Certification is required for this position. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE performing duties such as:
1) Leading artisans who perform the full range of electrical, electronic, and avionic mechanic duties, performing Depot Level overhaul, repair, modification, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, and integration of numerous integral components into complete and complex electronic airborne, avionics, and communication systems;
2) Performing duties of the trade with minimal direct supervision on electronic integrated systems and related electrical systems;
3) Performing installation, functional operation, trouble analysis, and final alignment of integrated communication navigation- identification systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions in a wide variety of aircraft;
4) Analyzing faults and errors, overhauling, rebuilding, aligning, and adjusting complete multi-systems such as the electronic package in highly automated aircraft where tactical data transmission and other complex functions are performed by numerous systems which are extensively interconnected with data feedback loops;
5) Interpreting and working from blueprints, diagrams, schematic drawings, technical manuals, engineering directives, bulletins and verbal instructions and using a variety of hand and power tools common to the electronic trade; and
