Diesel Mechanic​/Generator Technician

Our team is committed to providing exceptional service to commercial, industrial, and residential clients across California. We are currently seeking detail-oriented, high-energy, self-motivated, honest and hardworking Generator Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team.

As a Generator Technician / Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, performing maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and start-ups of diesel-powered generators and related equipment. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure our clients' power systems operate efficiently and reliably.

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on diesel generators up to 2000 kW
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in generator systems
• Inspect, test, and maintain transfer switches, control panels, and fuel systems
• Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Maintain accurate records daily of work performed and parts used
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Provide on-site customer support and maintain positive client relationships
• Responsible for tracking time daily
• Keep an organized and clean service truck
• Willingness to participate in the responsibility of a 24/7 on – call - technician

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with diesel engines and generator systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
• Basic computer skills for service documentation and email communication
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments

• Experience with brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, etc.

• Monday to Friday
• On-call rotation (after-hours and weekends)
