We are currently seeking detail-oriented, high-energy, self-motivated, honest and hardworking Generator Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team.

Job DescriptionAs a Generator Technician / Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, performing maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and start-ups of diesel-powered generators and related equipment. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure our clients' power systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Job Duties- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on diesel generators up to 2000 kW
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in generator systems
- Inspect, test, and maintain transfer switches, control panels, and fuel systems
- Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Maintain accurate records daily of work performed and parts used
- Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Provide on-site customer support and maintain positive client relationships
- Responsible for tracking time daily
- Keep an organized and clean service truck
- Willingness to participate in the responsibility of a 24/7 on – call - technician
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with diesel engines and generator systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
- Basic computer skills for service documentation and email communication
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments
- Experience with brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, etc.
- Monday to Friday
- On-call rotation (after-hours and weekends)
